Indium appoints Katlyn Eggar as Head of Learning and Development, growing a new sector in the industry-leading agency network.

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Indium, an industry-leading agency network representing over 300 agencies, announced that it has appointed Katlyn Eggar to grow a new department focused on Learning and Development. Eggar has 11 years of agency ownership experience that created a passion for helping other entrepreneurs navigate the pains, failures, and opportunities that come along with growing their business. Receiving broad admiration for the corporate education program she built from scratch, teaching 100+ employees and 500 other students, this experience brought her to the top of mind as Katherine Ternes, CEO, looked to the future of Indium.

“When I came to Indium, I had a target list of executives that I looked up to and reached out to for advice,” said Ternes reflecting on her first weeks at Indium. “I never anticipated that we’d be able to bring in the rockstar-level talent that Katlyn is. I need to feel confident that anyone who joins us at this level will develop their team and support our customers with the level of authenticity and integrity that she has.”

Before joining Indium, Eggar and her team produced proprietary Sales, Service, and Agency courses, including 875 videos, print manuals, in-person workshops, trainer lesson plans, an Agency Launch classroom experience, and more. In her time as Co-Founder of Quantum from January 2020 to December 2022, she helped build the tools and support captive agents need to go independent. Prior to her time at Quantum, she owned a startup independent agency that wrote $1 million in new premium in under 90 days and had consistently maintained a 91% retention rate in her previous captive agency.

“One key to any successful business is a well-trained and highly developed team. Indium has doubled down on our belief in continuing education by recruiting Katlyn Eggar to drive this initiative both internally and externally.” said David Carothers, Principal of Florida Risk Partners, Founder of Killing Commercial, Co-Host of The Power Producers Podcast, and Indium Board member. “With a proven track record in building high performing learning environments in both the captive and independent models, I believe she is the perfect resource for all of our stakeholders.”

In growing this brand-new sector, Indium plans to bridge the gap between agents and the tools they need to thrive in competitive environments. Eggar shared that “The Indium Difference will leverage adult learning theory and the power of peer-based collaboration to bring cutting edge best practices to our Indium members and colleagues. I am thrilled to have this opportunity to partner with top performers in the industry as we create a world-class, multi-modal experience that positions agents to grow and prosper.”
